The speed limit on Shore Drive in Virginia Beach between Pleasure House Road and North Great Neck road has been reduced today to 35mph. The reason for the change is for the safety of pedestrians. In the past years there have been numerous fatalities in this resort area. Hopefully changing the speed limit will save some lives. Be safe and pay attention to your surroundings whether you are walking or driving.
